Privacy

The short version

This site is a portfolio. It sets no cookies, it stores nothing on your device, and it does not sell or share anything about you. It counts visits so I can see which work people look at, and if you arrived on a personal link I sent you, I can see that those visits were yours.

What is collected

I use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused service hosted in the EU. It records a page view when you open a page: which page, roughly where in the world you are, which site or link sent you, and what kind of device and browser you used.

It does not use cookies, does not store anything on your device, and does not follow you to other websites. Your IP address is used momentarily to work out the country and is never stored.

Personal links

If I sent you a link with a code in it — theboysfather.dk/?v=abc — I can see which pages that link visited and roughly how long for. I use it to know whether the work I sent was useful, and nothing else. Remove the ?v=… from the address, or go to theboysfather.dk directly, and the visit isn’t connected to you.

What is not collected

No cookies. No advertising or tracking pixels. No fingerprinting. No cross-site tracking. Nothing is sold or shared with advertisers. There are no accounts, no forms and no comments on this site, so there is nothing for you to fill in and nothing for me to store.

Video

The longer films are hosted on Vimeo and load only if you click play. Until you do, nothing is requested from Vimeo and it knows nothing about your visit. Once you play a film, Vimeo receives your IP address and can set its own cookies, under Vimeo’s privacy policy. The player is loaded with Do Not Track enabled.

How long I keep it

Visit statistics are kept for as long as they are useful, and no longer than 24 months. Personal-link codes are retired once the conversation they belong to has run its course.

Your rights

You can ask me what has been recorded about you, ask for it to be deleted, or tell me to stop — and I will. Write to simon@theboysfather.dk and I will answer personally. You can also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet.
